The Bittinger Volunteer Fire Department, founded in 1973 by a dedicated group of local men, has grown into a cornerstone of community emergency services. Today, the department boasts five pieces of apparatus, including an advanced/basic life support ambulance, ensuring comprehensive response capabilities. Committed to fostering future generations of first responders, the department offers a Junior Cadet Program, providing young community members with training and engagement opportunities. Additionally, the department's operations are bolstered by an active fundraising Auxiliary, dedicated to supporting its mission and enhancing service delivery.
